I'm glad this year is almost over. There has been a lot of famous people who have passed. I even lost my mom and a good friend of mine. Praying for a better New Year...

Feeling Better

I'm sorry for being away for quite some time. The passing of my mom has left me a bit uninterested in posting anything. I need to move on with my life. I am going to try very hard to keep you all updated with my thoughts and plans. I have started to get involved with writing poems again. I enjoy writing poems and children's stories. Writing keeps my mind busy and alert. I almost forgot to mention a friend of mine who passed away back in Oct. from liver cancer. These holidays are a bit hard for me, with them gone. Wish I could tell them Merry Christmas and give them each a hug.

Feeling a lot better today. Had a headache for 2 days, I'm thinking it might be the result of a few Pre-K's crying and having fits. These kids need to be disciplined at home so they won't act up in school. I was VERY spoiled growing up but NEVER acted up in school. I was the perfect little angel at school, and at home I was terrible. Talk about a spoiled "BRAT!"  I'm all grown up now and still spoiled.

I'm pet sitting 5 little doggies this weekend. They arrived last night and have already touched our hearts. The are just too cute!!!

Little Erick needs another ear tube in his right ear. He hasn't been getting any infections, but his ENT doesn't like the air pressure and is afraid his ear drum is going to stay retracted, causing possible hearing loss in that ear. He's nervous about it, even though this will be his 7th ear tube. I don't blame him. Please keep our son in your prayers.

We're almost finished putting our rooms together for school on Monday. I owe it all to my co-worker, Pedro.  WAY TO GO!!!!  It's going to be a fun school year. I'm glad, because I had a hard summer.

We're finally getting some much needed rain. I'm praying for the rain to come down to S.A. and not Dallas. They need to spray large areas due to mosquitoes that are carrying the West Nile Virus. They have an outbreak and in S.A. we've had 3 people die from this horrible virus. Please help us pray for rain to come down our way.

I can't believe my summer vacation is just about over.  That's ok, I'm ready to get back to work. The sooner this school year gets started, the sooner summer vacation will be here again!!! Time is going by way to fast. Does anybody else feel the same way? Is time leaving you behind?

Can't believe my summer vacation is almost over. I need to report back to work on the 20th of this month and the first day of school is on the 27th. To this date I have 18 yrs. under by belt.

My mom who's up in heaven has been joined with our friend and neighbor. WOW!!!  Can't believe they passed away within a week of each other. Rest In Peace........

Mom passed away on July 30th @ 5:00 a.m.  This was the first time I saw someone I love die in front of me. It was very stressful. I had to get back on my anxiety medication. I prayed to God to give me the strength to get through this hard time. He sure did. Mom's burial was on Aug. 6th that was her 86th birthday. She got to celebrate up in heaven with all her family and friends. I miss her very much, but I know she's at rest. She suffered every day with a chronic stage of diverticulitis and heart disease.

Tonight was my mom's rosary service. It was beautiful and so was my mom. Trevino Funeral Home did a GREAT job preparing her for viewing. Tomorrow morning @ 10:00 a.m. will be her graveside service @ Ft. Sam Houston Cemetery. It's also her 86th birthday.

My mother passed away on Monday @ 5:00 a.m.  She is no longer suffering and is resting peacefully. I love you mom!!!  We'll be together again one of these days. Wait for me.............
Monday is her 86th birthday and she will be buried that same day. What a wonderful present from God.

It was a close one earlier. We thought mom was going to pass away and she bounced back. This lady is fighting it all the way to the end. Please pray for a peaceful passing.

Mom's condition is getting a little bit worse as each day goes by. She will be living in a nursing home until her final day. Please keep her and my family in your prayers. It's very sad to see a loved one getting closer to their time. I know she will be well taken cared of up in heaven.

We had to send mom to Sister Mary Hospice Center because her feet were swollen and the water she was retaining was traveling up to her knee. Now, we're in the process of having her put in a nursing home. We feel sad about it, but we need to. I want my mom to be comfortable where she's at. Please pray that we find her a nice nursing home for her final journey of her life on Earth.

Been spending the night with mom and dad. He needs a lot of help with mom. She's back home and has lost a lot of her body functions, especially her mobility to get around the house. Dad is up in age and has his own health problems. Pray that we get the help we need and to be given the strength to take care of my parents.

Mom has 90% blockage in her arteries. Her cardiologist gave her 6 months to live. It might be sooner or later than that. It's up to God, when he's ready for mom, she will go with him up to heaven.  Please keep our family in your prayers especially my mom. I pray for a peaceful passing, don't want her to suffer.

Mom is still in the hospital. She suffered a mild heart attack on the 4th of July and has a bad infection due to her diverticulitis. They are trying their best to get rid of her infection, but just can't. Tomorrow morning she is having an endoscopy performed.

I had another MRI done on my neck and spine. My next appt. with my neurologist is on Aug. 3rd. I will also have an EEG done on this date also. Please keep us in your prayers.

Mom had a mild heart attack on Wednesday and she has an infection due to her diverticulitis. We thought we were going to lose her yesterday, but she is still hanging on. She is a very strong woman.

I'm going to have an MRI done on my neck and spine tomorrow. Hope something is found. In my first films, a mass was found on the top right side of my brain. Second set of films didn't show anything. Just want to find out what's going on with me. Please keep us in your prayers.

My mom suffered a mild heart attack yesterday. She is at Christus Santa Rosa. Please keep her in your prayers. She is 85 years old and very fragile. Please keep me in your prayers. I have an appt. tomorrow with my neurologist to discuss the results of my MRI's.

Saw my neurologist today and he ordered another MRI. He wants to compare it to the first one I took back in April. They found a mass on the right side of my brain. Please keep me in your prayers.

This afternoon I have an appointment with my neurologist to discuss my MRI results. Pray for me please. Will keep you posted on my health condition.

Finally got my referral to see a neurologist. My appt. is on the 22nd of this month. I hope he will go into more detail about the spot that was found on my brain.

I got my MRI results. I have a spot on my brain and will be referred to a neurologist. Please keep me in your prayers. Not sure what's going on.

Well, today was the last day of school. I'm going to miss my little Pre-K's............Hope to see them walking with their kinder class down the hall.

On May 29, 1984 I graduated from Luther Burbank High School.  Can't believe it's already been 28 years!!!  Time sure does fly by.  : )

I can't believe there's only 4 more days of school!!!!  This year has just flown by. Need to stay busy over the summer and keep my son occupied with other things besides his tech toys.  Anybody know of summer programs in S.A.???

All is well at the elementary school I work at. Can't believe there are only 10 more days left in the school year!!!  They seem to fly by as I'm getting older. I have mixed emotions about the school year ending. Not sure what this upcoming school year holds for me. With these budget cuts to education anything is possible. I'm going to think positive and be grateful about having a job. Other people are getting laid off or having a very hard time finding employment.

I would like to wish all women and men a very Happy Mother's Day!!!  Single men have two roles, being a  father and a mother to their children. Enjoy your day with family and friends.

Friday is our last early release day for the year. We only have 3 more weeks of school!!! These school years are going by VERY fast. Need to find something to keep me busy over the summer. What to do??  Any suggestions?

It's that time of the school year when co-workers and parents start complaining. This is normal for me to go through something like this. What upsets me, is when a co-worker talks about you behind your back. This also upsets me, when a parent accuses me of mistreating her child. Saying that she's scared of me. This same child greets me with a big smile, gives me hugs, and makes art work for me. Does this sound like her child is scared of me???? 


Please help me get through these last few weeks of work/school without going crazy or hurting someone!!!   : D

Waiting on my MRI results. Hope they will be in sometime tomorrow,  and I had more blood work done today after work. Anxious and nervous to find out what's wrong with me. Getting older is not very fun after all!!!  : D

Made it through my MRI this morning. I closed my eyes, prayed, and thought about my family and friends. Need to call my PCP and make an appt. to discuss my results. Then, I will be referred to a neurologist. Taking this one step at a time.

Tomorrow is the last day of school/work for me. We have Friday off because it's FIESTA here in S.A.!!!

I made an appt. to have an MRI of my brain on Saturday morning. Didn't want to go during the week and take off because I might need my days if something is found. Will keep you posted.

I have been diagnosed with Sjogren's Syndrome. My PCP is going to have an MRI done on my brain and refer me to a neurologist. This autoimmune disorder is hard to detect because it has the same symptoms as MS (Multiple Sclerosis).  Please keep me in your prayers.

Went to the Rheumatologist yesterday and she diagnosed me with Sjorgren's Syndrome. Her diagnosis did not satisfy me. She felt my hands, feet and legs. I stretched out my arms and did not feel any pain. She told me I did not have RA. The weird thing is, she didn't order any blood work or tests to confirm her diagnosis. Going to see my PCP on Monday and will discuss her diagnosis with him. I plan to ask him to refer me to a neurologist. Please keep me in your prayers.

I have an appt. with my rheumatologist tomorrow afternoon and hoping to get the help I need. Please keep me in your thoughts and prayers. 

Had a dr.'s appt. on Monday and was told I'm in perimenopause.  Why do us women have to go through a lot of body changes??? 

We have early release on Friday. Our students leave @ 11:45 instead of 2:45!!!  Some RNR is always appreciated.  Thank you Northside!!!

I get my evaluation tomorrow morning and I'm a bit nervous. This one co-worker has said things behind my back and I hope this didn't reflect on my rating. Well, I hope and pray for the best.

To those of you who celebrated Easter, how did you spend your Sunday?  We hung out at my brother-in-law's house, ate some ham with trimmings, had an egg hunt, and cracked cascarones on everyone's  head.  Love this time of year. Next special event will be our Battle of Flowers Holiday coming up on the 27th of this month. We have a carnival, parades, and eat a lot of Mexican food!!!

I reached a few goals today. My car needed some repairs and 3 jobs were done. I save $20.00 every month. It gets withdrawn from one account and automatically deposited into my savings account. I only need 2 repairs to go. One is going to have to wait until income tax next year, unless I am able to get about $750.00. The next repair I will be trying to fix costs about $500.00 and not sure where I'm getting this type of money. My dad would like to get a loan but I don't want to burden him with my money problems. I am picky where I take my car for repairs. I have been taking my car to the dealer since 1996 and have been satisfied every time. They are honest with me and I trust them. I might have to get someone else to repair my car. I don't feel right about this but I don't have the money at this time to pay what the dealer charges. I looked up 2 businesses on the BBB and both got a good rating. I also have a friend (ex-coworker) who is willing to help me out with my repairs. Will message him later on this evening. How do you save extra money that you will need for any upcoming expenses?

Tomorrow is the last day of school for the week. We have Good Friday off. When I think of that day, it makes me feel very sad and emotional. Should've been named "SAD" Friday. How do you feel about Good Friday?

I am going to reach part of my goal on Friday. Going to take my car into the dealer and have some maintenance work done. I still have 2 major work jobs that need to be done. I will achieve this in due time. It's going to take a while, but I WILL reach my goal. Reaching goals takes some time, they don't happen over night. A lot of careful planning is needed to achieve them.

Watching Jesus on the GMC channel. This is a new channel Direct TV is showing. I love Him with all my heart, mind, and soul.

Worried about seeing another specialist. My co-payments have increased to $50.00. So far I will be seeing 2, maybe 3 if my PCP refers me to a neurologist.  This makes it VERY difficult for me because I am the only one working while my hubby continues his education. This sacrifice will pay off in the long run. Does anyone know of a legit stay at home job?

My co-worker is starting to twist the truth and say little white lies about me. This upsets me and will keep me on my toes, being one step ahead of her. Why are people like this??  Why are they jealous??  It's sad, but a lot of us have worked with people like this. I do not cause trouble at work, but I do have a limit to what people do to me now. I was treated horribly at another school I was at. The teacher I worked with really made me out to be the bad guy, and this made me feel like a terrible worker. Nobody should ever make you feel this way. I need to practice what I preach. I'm going to be nice about this and professional. My co-worker is not better than me. She's also an instructional assistant but thinks she's a teacher. You help people out, and they expect you to do more. The saying goes: "The more you do for people the more they want."

I am so tired and it's only Monday!!!  Next Friday is a holiday.  : )

Finally got my referral to see a  specialist in Rheumatology  I have an appointment next month and I'm also experiencing symptoms of MS. Hope to find out what is making me so tired and weak. Had 8 tubes of blood drawn back in February and the only thing that showed up is rheumatoid arthritis. Please say a prayer for me.

We're getting more severe thunderstorms this evening with strong winds, hail, and possibly some tornadoes.  I don't like these type of storms, they make me very nervous. My plan for tonight is to have everyone sleep with us. This includes me, hubby, son, and our dog Milo. I feel safe having my family sleep with me. I'm a grown woman that acts like a child during severe weather.

We need the rain here in S.A. There is a 90% chance of rain this evening, and into the early morning hours. Our bluebonnets are looking BEAUTIFUL with the rain we've been receiving. I love Spring!!!  What is your favorite season of the year?

Took my car to the dealer this morning for a 100 pt. inspection. They do this for free. I need over a $1,000 worth of repairs!!!  Not bad for a 16 yr. old car. It's just normal wear and tear. My goal is to get 3 repairs done and hold off on the other 2.

Pet sitting Scooby. Took care of him for New Year's Day a couple of months ago. I love animals.

Dog Sitting today through Saturday. My Spring Break is GREAT!!!  It's going to be hard waking up early on Monday morning. We go back to school/work on the 19th. Hope every one is having a nice Spring Break. How are you spending it???

Hubby surprised me this evening by getting home early. Wednesdays are his long days at school. His goal is to get his degree in CISS ( Computer Information Systems Security.)

I rescheduled my dr.'s appt. for the 12th of this month instead of the 19th. Didn't want to spend my Spring Break worrying about my results of the blood work I had done back in Feb. Just want to find out what's wrong with me. Will keep you posted.

Haven't heard from my dr. yet. Going to give them a call tomorrow, and ask if my results are in. Feeling more tired and weak. I need anywhere between 10-12 hrs. of sleep. I'm unable to do this, because I'm employed full time. Can't stand the suspense much longer.

One more week of work and I will be on Spring Break!!!  I can't wait to catch up on some much needed rest. My little Pre-K's wipe me out but I love working with them. 

Tomorrow is the first of March. Any plans for Spring Break?  I have a whole week off!!!  What to do.....

Taking care of our class pet again.  He's a guinea pig named Lechuga (lettuce).  We love him so much but our dog Milo is jealous. Reminds me of siblings.

I had blood work done today and 8 tubes were drawn. Haven't been feeling myself for quite some time. I am very weak, tired and starting to bruise easily. Please keep me in your prayers because cancer runs on my dad's side of the family.

Haven't been feeling myself for quite some time now, and I am going to see my PCP tomorrow. I'm bracing myself for the worst and keeping the faith. Please keep me in your prayers.

I have reached 2 of my goals this week!!!  I paid off my laptop and got a new mattress!!!  If I can do it, so can you.

Can't believe this month is almost over. This year is leap year. Does anyone have their birthday on the 29th of February? If so when do you celebrate, on the 28th or 1st of March??

Today my hubby took our class pet back to school. We miss Lechuga very much. We love animals and get attached very quickly to them. Wish we could keep him but we already have a dog, and we can't afford another pet. I'm the only one working at this time, while my hubby goes to school. Our goal is to own a guinea pig of our own some day.

We had fun taking care of our class pet over the weekend. His name is Lechuga, it means lettuce in English.  He's an adorable guinea pig!!!  We don't want to take him back to school. Every weekend one of our Pre- K's gets to take him home for the weekend. Our dog Milo has been very anxious to see it, but this won't happen because he eats squirrels!!!  I don't know who's going to miss him more, our son or my hubby.

We have a 70% chance of rain tonight. We need it badly. This drought has really hurt us here in Texas. Thousand Trails at Medina Lake has dried out!!!

Can't wait for the weekend!!!  I'm going to visit my mom and dad. Haven't been over in about a month. With the rains here, it caused a lot of mud to build up on their street. After all these years they are finally getting their street worked on. This is way over due.

Besides this, my mom came down with scabies. I had to stay away because it's contagious. Didn't want to risk getting it, spreading it to my son, or passing it down to my little Pre-K's. I can't afford to take off from work. I only get 10 days per school year so I need to use them wisely.

Anybody planning something special next week?  You know what next week is right?  It's Valentine's Day!!!  The way the economy is now at days, it's hard to buy that special gift for the person you love. The best gift to give is a handwritten love letter. This shows them you really care. Don't feel bad about it, I'm thinking of writing a love note to my hubby. I can't afford to buy him anything but I will have enough $$$ to buy my little Pre-K's their valentine cards. 

We're getting much needed rain this evening. We have thunderstorms moving through our area.

Couldn't believe what I witnessed at work this afternoon. A mother believed her son instead of the adults who witnessed him throw popcorn on the floor.  He denied it and told his mom some popcorn fell on the floor while he was opening his bag.  How sad. This mom is setting her son up for a lot of problems as he gets older. His mom had the nerve to tell me that her son doesn't lie!!!  Makes me wonder how his mom disciplines this child.

You should always tell the truth no matter what the outcome will be. When you lie this will get you into more trouble. This is a very sad situation. Apparently they don't go to church if they do, one of the commandments are being broken. "Thou shall not lie."

When a medical condition prevents you from working, what do you do?  You really want this job. Well, you need to think about this carefully. What's more important, your health or a job you might end up losing due to chemotherapy?  I gave my friend this advice. Do not take this job because you will be let go due to all the absences you will accumulate. This is a tough decision, but your health is a priority!!!

If something happened at work and you don't feel comfortable about it, tell someone. Don't hold it inside because you will feel bad. It's better to say something rather than not to say anything at all. Let your voice be heard.

I went to visit my niece and her two boys today.  It's been about 30 years since we spent some quality time together!!!  My hubby and I cleaned the house today and we're going to finish up tomorrow.  What a BLESSED day it was!!!

Going to TRY and get ready for bed early tonight. Need to clean the house over the weekend. We clean our home every 3 to 4 weeks and I swiffer every week. There's only 3 of us plus our dog Milo, and we have dust bunnies all over the place!!!

My son and I visited a dear friend of mine, who is residing in a nursing home. Breaks my heart to see her in that condition. She suffered a brain aneurysm back in May of 2011. I pray for her daily. Please keep her in your prayers. The power of prayer makes miracles happen.

Something was bothering me today, and I did not want to do anything about it. I just couldn't fight this feeling anymore. I sent my supervisor an e mail about how I felt. Didn't want this to come back and hit me like a ton of bricks. If there is something bothering you, let someone know how you feel.

Might get together with my classmate. Haven't seen him since graduation. Tomorrow, I plan to visit my friend who suffered a brain aneurysm back in May.

Tomorrow is college day at work. We get to wear our favorite shirt with a pair of jeans!!!  I love my job.

2 birthday celebrations today at my in-laws house.  Love spending time with family!!!

I saw my elementary school principal today, and she is doing GREAT!!!  Was nervous about going, but I just had to see her. I took my son with me, who just turned 9 yrs. old. What a BRAVE boy!!! 

Planning to visit my elementary school principal. She suffered a brain hemorrhage before Thanksgiving. Honestly, I'm a bit nervous. Not sure what condition she's in. I was told, she is paralyzed on her right side and her memory comes and goes.

I have another lady friend who suffered a brain aneurysm back in May. When I saw her for the first time, I didn't recognize her. I held back my tears. She is not the same person I know. This hurts me so much.

If you have friends that you haven't seen or talked to in a while, pick up the phone and give them a call. You never know when your life is going to take a drastic turn. Live each day, like it was your last.
